Registration

Registration to attend the 42nd European Finance Association (EFA) Annual Meeting is done online through the event management platform ConfTool. Please note that if you have already submitted a paper to the EFA 2015, you can login with the same username and password.
 

EFA 2015 registration is closed
Registration on-site will be available. Participants registering on-site will be given “Session-Only” access and charged a fee of EUR 500.

 

Conference tickets

EFA 2015 "Sessions Only"

We are pleased to announce that people wishing to attend the conference can now register for a "sessions only" option. The fee is based on full costs of attending sessions. Registration will close on August 7, 2015. Participants are required to be EFA 2015 members and membership is not included in the conference fee. * PhD students will be asked to show their valid student ID card at the conference registration. In case of failure to show a valid student ID card, the person will be asked to pay the academic registration fee at the registration desk.

*Tickets for this event can be purchased online during the registration process. There is limited availability. Places will be given away on a first-come, first-paid basis.

Payment can be made only via credit card: Visa and MasterCard.
 

Invitation letter for visas

Invitation and confirmation letters for visas can be issued on request only if the participant has paid the registration fee. To obtain an invitation letter, please write to the efa2015 [at] wu [dot] ac [dot] at (conference organizers). Please note that the address indicated in your profile will be used for the invitation letter, check your address out by clicking here.

For information on visa requirements, please contact your local Austrian Embassy. Please make sure you have enough time to apply for a visa.

The registration of participation is binding. Please note that the conference program may be subject to changes.

Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received. 
 

EFA membership

All participants should be EFA 2015 member, membership is not included in the conference fee. For information click here.
 

Confirmation

Participants will receive a confirmation email from our registration system after the purchase of the conference registration. An invoice of the purchase will be available and downloadable from your ConfTool personal account.

Print a copy of your confirmation to be show at the conference registration desk .

Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received.
 

Modification or additional tickets

If you wish to modify or purchase additional tickets (EFA Annual Meeting and Conference Dinner), please contact the efa2015 [at] wu [dot] ac [dot] at (conference organizer).
 

Substitution

If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to nominate someone else to attend in your place at no additional cost. Please advise substitutions efa2015 [at] wu [dot] ac [dot] at (subject: Substitution%20of%20registered%20participant) (in writing). That allows us to provide a correct name.
Please note:

  • Any substitution that is not communicated in writing will not be considered valid.
  • Substitutions must be communicated 48 hours before the start of the conference.
  • The financial aspect has to be handled between the registered individual who is not attending and the individual who is substituting.

 

Cancellation policy and refunds

Cancellations need to be made efa2015 [at] wu [dot] ac [dot] at (subject: Cancellation%20registration%20EFA%202015) (in writing) to the EFA 2015 organizers and attached with the cancellation form (to display the interactive pdf document, download and save the document). Emails without the completed form will not be considered.

An administrative fee of EUR 30 will be withheld from all refunds.

  • Full refund: before July 19, 2015.
  • 50% refund: before August 2, 2015.
  • No refund: after August 3, 2015.

Refunds will take place within 30 days of receiving the completed cancellation form.
If payment has already been made, credit card disputes cannot be used to obtain a refund. In order to receive a refund, you have to follow the procedure described above.
 

Unforeseen circumstances

In the event that the conference is cancelled due to problems such as natural disaster or other causes beyond our control, the EFA 2015 Organizing Committee will make every effort to reschedule. The organizers are not responsible for problems such as weather conditions, venue property conditions, prepaid parking, prepaid tours, etc. No refunds will be given in these situations. The final decision on refunds rests with the EFA 2015 organizers.
